An Engineer by trade, Kim put his understanding of the design process and appreciation for Architecture to use with his first foray into the real estate industry as a salesperson/building consultant for a prominent Canterbury building and land development company from 1989/93. Recognising the many aspects of this industry, Kim gained invaluable experience working for two other large Real Estate firms since that time, earning wide acclaim and recognition as a top agent in the process. He established his own Ray White office in Christchurch’s central city ‘SOL Square’ which closed following the Canterbury earthquake of February 22nd, 2011.
Moving forward from this event, Kim took the opportunity to quantify his experience to date and share an idea with two like-minded individuals, a process which led to his founding involvement with Bellamy’s.
Throughout his career he derived the most satisfaction from understanding his client's requirements, be they property buyers or sellers, to methodically achieve their desired outcome without compromise. A simple philosophy, but one which is all too often forgotten when in the confines of a corporate system that focuses on the bottom line and not on the people.

Mike has never been far away from real estate investment, with his first property purchase at an early age and a steady acquisition continuing to this day. Being involved with the rural machinery supply and maintenance sector for most of his working life, Mike saw an opportunity in rural bare land investments which has been the foray into large residential and rural subdivisions, project management, joint ventures and direct sales that keep him busy these days. Gaining his license to practice in the real estate industry directly was a natural progression.
